Basic Handling Skills
To be rewarded a Basic Handling Skills certificate the rider must be able to
look in the correct direction
signal correctly
make head checks before changing position
maintain lateral position of motorcycle
control the motorcycle
use appropriate speed

If you have never ridden a motorcycle with manual gears before, this is the perfect option for you. With a full two hours of comprehensive training, you are setting yourself up to pass the Basic Handling Skills Test.
Note: more time may be required to confidently pass the test.

This would be for someone who has already been on a motorcycle before and is confident to sit their test.
Note: You do have to meet the test criteria and pass before you can be awarded a BHST Basic Handling Skills certificate.
